UAE Police Arrest Gang for Smuggling Drugs in Marble Stones

Sharjah Police have successfully apprehended a gang of three Asian nationals involved in a significant drug smuggling operation. The gang, reportedly directed by foreign dealers, attempted to smuggle over 226 kilograms of drugs concealed within marble stones.

Unconventional Smuggling Methods Exposed

The gang utilized an unusual method to hide the drugs, embedding them inside marble stones in an effort to evade detection. This tactic underscores the increasingly sophisticated techniques employed by international drug trafficking networks.

Intense Field Operations Lead to Arrests

The arrest was the result of intense field operations carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Department. Sharjah Police worked diligently to uncover the gang members and trace their connections to broader regional and international drug smuggling networks. The operation highlights the effectiveness of UAE’s anti-narcotics efforts in combating drug-related crimes.

Sharjah Police Commended for Vigilance

Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, commended the dedicated work of the police teams involved in the operation. He emphasized the ongoing commitment of the police to fortify the security measures in the region, ensuring that such illegal activities are swiftly identified and neutralized.
