Dubai Taxi and Kabi Join Forces to Expand Ride-Hailing Services

Dubai Taxi and Kabi by Al Ghurair have taken a major step to improve urban transport in the city. The two companies announced a partnership that merges their taxi fleets, making thousands of additional vehicles available on popular ride-hailing apps such as Bolt and Zed.

Under the agreement, Dubai Taxi’s 6,200 vehicles and Kabi’s 3,680 taxis will now operate together, giving residents and visitors faster access to rides. Officials said this move will significantly cut waiting times, especially during peak hours, and ensure taxis are available across all key areas of Dubai.

Larger Fleet Means Quicker Service

One of the main advantages of this partnership is the larger, combined fleet. With nearly 10,000 taxis integrated into e-hailing platforms, commuters can expect smoother travel across the city. Whether heading to the airport, business districts, or residential areas, riders will find taxis more readily available.

“This merger is designed to make transportation more reliable and accessible for everyone in Dubai,” said Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company. “Passengers will benefit from shorter waiting times and improved coverage across the city.”

Supporting Dubai’s Smart Mobility Vision

The collaboration aligns closely with the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) plan to shift the majority of taxi trips to digital platforms. The RTA has long encouraged technology-driven solutions to improve mobility, reduce congestion, and offer customer-focused services.

By combining their fleets and working with platforms like Bolt and Zed, DTC and Kabi contribute directly to Dubai’s goal of modern, integrated transportation. Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, said the partnership demonstrates how private-sector initiatives can complement government strategies to make urban transport smarter and more efficient.

Efficiency and Sustainability in Focus

Besides improving availability, the merged fleet is expected to raise service efficiency. Integrating taxis into digital platforms allows better dispatching, faster pickups, and more consistent ride experiences.

The partnership also promotes sustainability. Modern taxi models in both fleets meet environmental standards, helping Dubai reduce emissions while meeting growing demand. As more vehicles are added, they will automatically join the system, ensuring capacity grows in line with city needs.

Looking Ahead: A Model for Urban Mobility

The DTC-Kabi partnership sets a strong example for the UAE’s transport sector. By combining fleets, leveraging technology, and focusing on passenger convenience, the collaboration shows how private companies and government strategies can work hand-in-hand.

Commuters in Dubai can expect a smoother, faster, and more reliable experience when hailing a taxi, while the city continues to strengthen its reputation as a leader in smart mobility.

Transforming Urban Travel

Dubai Taxi and Kabi’s fleet integration is more than a business decision. It is a step toward a smarter, more connected city. With expanded coverage, faster service, and eco-friendly taxis, residents and visitors alike will enjoy improved mobility. The move highlights how strategic partnerships can transform urban transport while supporting Dubai’s vision of a modern, sustainable, and passenger-focused transportation system.
