QatarEnergy LNG deals secure long-term energy ties with Japan and Malaysia. The company signed two major agreements at the LNG 2026 conference in Doha this week. Japan Agreement Details QatarEnergy inked a 27-year sales and purchase pact with JERA, Japan’s top power utility. JERA will receive 3 million tons of LNG each year starting in 2028. The deliveries follow an ex-ship basis, meaning LNG arrives at Japanese ports ready for unloading. This deal builds on a partnership that spans over 30 years.
