World’s First Nano Water Plant Ships from Saudi Arabia

Saudi nanotechnology export achieves a major milestone as Saudi Arabia sends its first industrial wastewater treatment plant to Europe. GI Aqua Tech wins a €5 million deal for a cosmetics factory in France, with setup planned for early 2026. The company builds and designs the full system in Saudi Arabia, marking a proud step for local tech firms.

Key Project Facts

GI Aqua Tech CEO Sherif Desouky says the plant treats one cubic meter of wastewater for full reuse. This Saudi nanotechnology export opens the door for global sales in water treatment tech. It meets Europe’s strict environmental rules and handles tough industrial waste without issues. The system uses tiny nanomaterial particles to clean water fast and clean.

Gulf Market Plans

The firm eyes sales to Bahrain and other Gulf countries in the first quarter of 2026. These plants handle 10,000 cubic meters per day for factories. They treat water right on-site and cut old incineration costs by a lot. Bahrain factories will get units soon to solve their own waste problems. This push shows Saudi Arabia’s lead in the region for green tech.

Main Benefits

Users save 80 percent on energy and reduce waste disposal fees. The tech turns waste into usable water that follows top standards. Cosmetics factories see the biggest gains from this change. No more burning waste or high bills, now they reuse every drop. Firms avoid fines and help the planet at the same time.

Local Production Site

Government help moves the tech from Saudi use to world markets. The plant sits on 23,000 square meters in Al-Kharj Industrial City under Modon. It leads the Middle East in making nanomaterials and full treatment plants. Workers there mix cutting-edge science with real-world builds. Daily operations run smoothly with local talent at the core.

Investment and Staff

The project invests €150 million when complete, with 54 percent Saudi workers. A site in Riyadh’s Third Industrial Area reuses 100 percent of water. Modon land now grows plants with treated water, turning waste areas green. Jobs train young Saudis in high-tech skills for future growth.

Quick Setup Units

One unit in Jeddah’s Al-Mousa serves 8,000 people without sewers. Teams installs it in 10 days for fast help in crises. It moves easily and leaves no damage. Perfect for remote spots or quick fixes after floods or breaks.

Big Success Stories

Neom runs the world’s largest concrete wastewater plant from this tech. Riyadh’s Samhan Hotel treats all waste, including blackwater, for a full year. Marriott wants to partner after these results. Other hotels and cities watch closely for their turn.

Saudi nanotechnology export sets Saudi Arabia as a top player in clean water tech. The plants use 90 percent less space but keep high quality. France’s deal proves the tech works under global eyes. More exports will follow as demand grows for smart, green solutions. Saudi firms now compete worldwide with homegrown power.
