Abu Dhabi University (ADU) stands as a leading private institution in the United Arab Emirates, offering world-class education and fostering innovation. Established in 2003, ADU has grown into the largest private university in the UAE, with a mission to prepare graduates for dynamic careers through transformative education. A Visionary Beginning ADU traces its roots to a vision set in 2000 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the then Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, and other citizens who aimed to build a world-class institution. Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, the university’s founder and current chairman, brought this vision to life. In June 2003, ADU was officially inaugurated, opening its doors to students in September of the same year.
