Saudi premium residency attracts global entrepreneurs to Kingdom

Saudi premium residency was granted to more than 100 entrepreneurs from over 20 nations during the Biban Global Forum in Riyadh, marking another step in the Kingdom’s effort to welcome global innovators and strengthen its startup scene. The move reflects the country’s push to create a future-ready economy driven by technology and entrepreneurship.

The recipients of this residency include founders, investors, and creators in key fields such as artificial intelligence, fintech, renewable energy, and digital transformation. By awarding these residencies, Saudi Arabia is reinforcing its goal of turning innovation into a major pillar of economic growth under Vision 2030.

Expanding opportunities through Vision 2030

The Saudi Premium Residency Center, in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), introduced this step to attract forward-thinking entrepreneurs and build long-term partnerships with international businesses. Holders of the residency will enjoy extended residence rights, full ownership privileges, and smoother business procedures.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to draw skilled professionals and founders who can transfer global expertise into the local ecosystem. By doing so, the Kingdom is empowering foreign innovators and opening doors for new job creation and the growth of tech-driven industries.

Riyadh emerges as a startup capital

Officials at the Biban forum highlighted that Saudi Arabia is becoming a prime destination for ambitious entrepreneurs. In recent years, the Kingdom has expanded access to venture funding, improved its regulatory environment, and launched government-backed accelerators to encourage startups to thrive.

Several entrepreneurs who received the residency expressed confidence in the country’s vision. They noted that a supportive residency status helps founders scale their operations sustainably and build partnerships in a stable and business-friendly environment.

Advancing the innovation ecosystem

The Biban Global Forum brought together participants from more than 120 countries, allowing innovators, policymakers, and investors to connect. Saudi Arabia showcased its growing support network for startups, including incubators, financing arms, and digital platforms meant to reduce barriers for new businesses.

The Saudi premium residency program works in harmony with other national efforts focusing on smart cities, green industries, and digital transformation. These aligned policies position Saudi Arabia as a serious contender among global innovation hubs, competing with markets across Europe and Asia.

Positioning Saudi Arabia as a global hub

Government representatives stressed that offering over 100 premium residency permits to international founders reflects the Kingdom’s openness to talent and investment. Riyadh’s ambition is to attract startups and to create an environment where innovative ideas can grow regionally and globally.

The initiative reinforces the Kingdom’s transition toward a diversified, knowledge-based economy. By welcoming global entrepreneurs and fostering collaboration, Saudi Arabia is setting the foundation for an innovative business culture that will shape the region’s future economy.
