Palestinians Arrested in the West Bank

In the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have conducted a sweeping arrest operation in the occupied West Bank, 20 Palestinians Arrested, including civilian individuals who were previously freed from captivity. The arrests predominantly targeted areas in Al-Khalil and Jenin governorates, with additional incidents reported in Bethlehem and Qalqilya.

According to a joint statement by the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), these arrests are often accompanied by destructive actions such as home demolitions and severe beatings inflicted on both detainees and their families.

Since the onset of the Israeli military campaign in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians arrested in the West Bank has surged to a staggering 9,400. This figure encompasses individuals seized from their homes, detained at military checkpoints, those coerced into surrendering, and individuals taken as hostages.

The IOF’s systematic approach to arrests has intensified significantly since October 7, 2023, marking not only a rise in the number of detainees but also an escalation in the severity of the crimes committed.
